Our Co-Founders

Kolaborasi Inklusi Konservasi (KONKLUSI) was co-founded by three young and passionate conservationists in February 2020. They share a common interest in the conservation of EDGE Species. With strong determination, KONKLUSI was established to protect threatened and overlooked biodiversity.

Dr. Rury Eprilurahman

He’s a zoologist, lecturer, and researcher at the Animal Systematics Laboratory, Faculty of Biology, Universitas Gadjah Mada. His expertise covers systematics, taxonomy, and ecology of aquatic fauna, with a particular focus on amphibians and reptiles. He’s contributed to the description of several new species. Rury has published in national and international journals and has been involved in numerous collaborative biodiversity research projects.

Sheherazade

She’s a conservation scientist with over 10 years of experience in biodiversity research, capacity building, and community-driven conservation. She co-founded Tambora Muda and PROGRES, and serves on the steering committee of the IUCN SSC Indonesian Species Specialist Group (IdSSG) to strengthen collaborative conservation and Global South leadership.

Paul Barnes

He’s Programme Manager for the EDGE of Existence at ZSL, leading efforts to strengthen and diversify global conservation leadership. With a PhD in Environmental Anthropology and 15+ years of experience, he empowers emerging conservationists to create inclusive and impactful solutions for people and biodiversity. he’s passionate about mentoring, equity, and building locally grounded conservation movements.

Tri Mumpuni

Secretary & Finance Manager

She has an academic background in biology and is passionate about applied research in public health. She’s currently involved in a project optimizing controlled populations of Wolbachia-infected Aedes aegypti mosquitoes for dengue control. Her work reflects a commitment to integrating science with practical solutions to address pressing health challenges.

Herdhanu Jayanto

Program Manager

He’s an Indonesian researcher with a strong focus and interest in crocodile conservation. He is a member of the IUCN SSC Crocodile Specialist Group (CSG) and at Konklusi, he manages most of the organization’s conservation projects. In addition, he is skilled in facilitating learning and designing human-centered conservation initiatives.

Mukhlish Jamal Musa H.

Program Manager

He’s an ecologist focusing on tropical forest conservation and restoration, particularly in addressing deforestation driven by agriculture in Southeast Asia. He’s a teaching staff at Gadjah Mada University and a Fellow at the Project on Nature and Governance, UCLA. His work combines ecological, governance, and social approaches, with ongoing collaborations with Cambridge University and IPB University.

He’s a Master’s student at the Faculty of Biology, currently conducting research on fish species in the Yogyakarta river. His academic journey reflects a strong interest in biodiversity & conservation.

She’s a student focusing on geography for civil studies, yet she has excellent design skills and a strong passion for the world of conservation.

She’s a biology student , currently focusing on bioacoustics research. One of the species she is working on is the Tomistoma.

He’s majoring in biology and has recently been a data analyst intern at FFI. He contributed to Konklusi’s Blood and Fecal Swab training

Khaerul Ikhwan

Project Collaborator

He’s been involved in several of our projects. Now he’s focusing his studies on cat species and has joined the IUCN SSC Cat Specialist Group.

He’s contributed to several KONKLUSI projects. He’s currently working as a Project Coordinator at an NGO focused on biodiversity conservation.
